Polyester filament spunbonded needled geotextile is a kind of geosynthetic material applied in

geotechnical engineering and civil engineering. It is made by the method of polyester filament web

formation and consolidation, and its fibers are arranged in a three-dimensional structure. In addition

to having excellent mechanical properties, it also features good longitudinal and transverse drainage

performance and elongation performance, as well as high chemical stability in terms of acid and alkali

resistance and aging resistance. At the same time, it also features a wide pore size, a tortuous pore

distribution, excellent permeability and filtration performance.


Product features

1. Reverse filtration function: Reverse filtration refers to the process of allowing liquid to pass through while

preventing the loss of soil materials under seepage pressure. Polyester filament square bonded needled

geotextile can replace the traditional sand and gravel filter layer, featuring reduced engineering volume,

convenient construction, and high speed.

2. Drainage function: Drainage refers to the utilization of the permeability of materials to allow water to

pass through their permeable channels and be discharged from the soil or geotextile structure. Polyester

filament spunbonded needled geotextile can replace traditional drainage materials such as gravel or

concrete pipes. It is convenient to construct, low in price and reliable in quality.

3. Isolation function: Isolation is to prevent adjacent different media from mixing. Using PolyXyan long-fiber

spunbonded needled geotextile for isolation between different media can maintain the stability and integrity

of each medium and structure.

4. Reinforcement function: Reinforcement involves placing materials with certain tensile strength within the

soil to improve its performance. The use of polyester filament spunbonded needled geotextile as reinforcement

material can achieve the purpose of enhancing the strength and stability of soil, is convenient for construction

Application scope

1. Reverse filtration of water conservancy project embankments and slopes, isolation and anti-seepage of channels;

2. Foundation height adjustment, reverse filtration, drainage, soil slopes, retaining walls and pavement reinforcement

and drainage for highways, railways and airport runways;

3. Soft foundation treatment for port engineering, reinforcement and drainage of beach embankments, seaport wharfs

and breakwaters;

Polyester filament geotextiles have been widely used in infrastructure construction and are gradually being applied to

a wider range of fields.


Construction method

It can be laid by manual rolling or mechanical means. The fabric surface should be flat and an appropriate allowance

for deformation should be left. The laying of long-fiber geotextiles is usually carried out by several methods such as

lapping, sewing and welding. The width of sewing and welding is generally over 0.1m, and the lap width is generally

over 0.2m. Long-fiber geotextiles that may be exposed for a long time should be welded or sewn.
