Geogrids are classified into four main types: plastic geogrids, steel-plastic geogrids, fiberglass geogrids, and polyester warp-knitted geogrids. Geogrids are made from high polymer materials such as polypropylene and polyvinyl chloride through thermoplastic or molding processes to form a two-dimensional grid or a highly three-dimensional mesh screen. When used in civil engineering, they are referred to as geogrids.
