Woven geotextiles have the advantage of high toughness in the main applications such as reinforcement, improvement and wear resistance. It is mainly used for the repair of pests and diseases on highway and railway lines, the improvement of soft soil layers, the reinforcement of slope protection for riverbanks, DAMS and ports, and the construction of simple airports and artificial islands, etc. Its scope of application is very widespread. Woven geotextile products have the following characteristics
(1) The tensile strength and modulus of woven geotextiles are very high, while their elongation at break is relatively small. Therefore, the stress-strain curve relationship is good.
(2) The dry yarns and fine yarns in woven geotextiles squeeze each other, preventing the textiles from deforming under external forces. Therefore, the structure of woven geotextiles is generally relatively stable.
(3) The porosity of woven geotextile is very high. The minimum gap of the stainless steel screen produced by the interweaving of warp and weft is 0.05mm. Due to the large holes, if it is used for filtration, small sand particles are prone to flow out. After long-term filtration, the screen is prone to clogging.
(4) The bursting compressive strength of woven geotextiles is low and the breaking work is small.
(5) The production process of woven geotextiles is complex, with low output and increased cost.
